  • Old Saybrook Location 455 Boston Post Road Old Saybrook, CT, 06475 United States (map)

Join Carolyn on October 20th for 108 Sun Salutations, an unheated, intense milestone in any yoga practice!

Performing 108 sun salutations in yoga is a traditional practice that is often done to mark significant occasions, and transitions, or to celebrate the changing of the seasons. A sun salutation, or Surya Namaskar, is a series of yoga poses that flow together in a sequence, typically done in coordination with the breath.

Doing 108 sun salutations in a single session is considered a challenging and intense physical and mental practice. It requires focus, endurance, and dedication. The number 108 is considered sacred in many Eastern traditions and is believed to have spiritual significance.

Practicing 108 sun salutations can be a way to cultivate discipline, build strength and flexibility, and connect with the rhythm of your breath and movement. It can also be a moving meditation, allowing you to find stillness and presence in the midst of a physically demanding practice. It’s a huge step to take on your journey but such an incredible bonding experience within the Soul Sweat community!
