“I built this studio to help others heal. Somewhere along the way, it healed me too, and now, I get to share it with the world and my son.”
— Courtney Del Vecchio, Founder and Owner
The story of Soul Sweat is the story of showing up…imperfect, passionate, and all in!
In 2017, we opened our first Soul Sweat studio in Old Saybrook with a dream to reimagine hot yoga, making it safe, sweaty, playful, and deeply human. We had no business plan, no experience, and no idea what we were doing, just a deep belief in the power of movement, heat, and community to change lives.
What started as a tiny studio with a few students and a lot of heart has grown into two vibrant spaces, a team of incredible teachers and staff, and a bold new chapter of expansion. Soul Sweat is more than a yoga studio; it’s a movement built on authenticity, creativity, connection, and heat (infrared heat, to be exact).
Over the past eight years, we’ve created something that feels like home, for thousands of students, and for me, too. From starting this journey as a 20-year-old yoga teacher to now a new mom, Soul Sweat has shaped every part of my life. It’s held me through hard times, introduced me to my closest friends, and reminded me again and again why this practice matters.
Now, as we grow into new communities, our mission stays the same:
To create spaces where people feel free to sweat, heal, connect, and come home to themselves, exactly as they are.
We’re just getting started.
