Kid's Yoga Program

Join Julia every Wednesday in Old Saybrook at 12:00 pm, beginning June 5 through August, for a 45-minute kids yoga class, a fun and engaging way to introduce children to the practice of yoga. The class typically begins with some breathing exercises and gentle warm-up stretches to help kids calm their minds and prepare their bodies for the practice. Our instructor will lead the group through a series of fun and playful yoga poses that are tailored specifically to the age group 4-8. Throughout the class, the instructor will encourage kids to focus on their breath, stay present in the moment, and tune in to how their bodies feel. The class will end with some gentle cool-down stretches and a peaceful relaxation exercise to help kids feel calm and centered.

Overall, a 45-minute kids yoga class is a wonderful way to help children develop strength, flexibility, balance, focus, and self-awareness, while also having fun and building confidence. This class is designed to be a kids-only zone! If your child needs you to be present for any particular reason, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate you. However, please note that this is not a class intended for both children and adults to participate in together. Although, we do request that guardians stay nearby during the class. You can chill in the lobby, sit on the benches outside, or grab a coffee at ashlawn next door!
